Fagioli all'uccelletto - uccelletto beans

Ingredients

Dry beans 400g
Oil 6 spoons
Garlic 2 pieces
Sage leaves 7
Laurel leaves 1
Tinned tomatoes (cut) 200g
Minced parsley 3 spoons
Salt & Pepper

Directions

  1. Soften the beans in water all the night.
  2. Put the beans and the laurel in weak salted water and cook for 40 minutes.
  3. Heat the oil in a fry pan and brown the garlic.
  4. After take the garlic off, add the beans, the sage, the tomato sauce and salt, cook for 15 minutes more.
  5. Add parsley and pepper.
